PickleBack Pulled Pork

My husband would say you can’t cook pulled pork in a crock-pot. Well, never say never because this recipe is absolutely delicious and bursting with flavor.

  • 6 pounds Pork Roast
  • 1 jar mixed vegetables
  • 1 jar banana peppers
  • 1 jar of peperoncini
  • 1 Budweiser
  • 1 jar pickle juice
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon coriander seeds
  • 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 jar pickled okra


  1. In a small bowl, mix together salt, red chili flakes, garlic, coriander, mustard seeds, and dried dill. Rub all over pork roast.
  2. Place in slow cooker and pour pickled ingredients (okra, mixed vegetables, banana peppers, peperoncini) and whiskey around sides. Cover and cook on high for 5-6 hours (or about 1 hour per pound).
  3. Remove pork from slow cooker and shred. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve with mustard and pickles on buns.
