The VeryVera Cookbook
Recipes From My Table
Vera Stewart of VeryVera and The VeryVera Show officially released her first cookbook, The VeryVera Cookbook: Recipes From My Table, on April 17th, 2018. The book contains every recipe she sold in her cafe and across the country via mail order. That’s right–all the layer cakes, pound cakes, casseroles, soups, and salads you haven’t been able to get since 2013. If that’s not enough, renowned food photographer Peter Frank Edwards beautifully captured many of Vera’s most noted recipes, making this book as much a picture book as it is a well-tested cookbook.
Vera Stewart is a Southern hostess through and through. This book is like pulling up a chair at Vera's table and hearing her describe the experiences, people, and recipes that shaped her story. The photography alone will make you want to pick up this book, and you'll stay for the personal anecdotes and fabulous recipes.

Julie and I have always enjoyed Vera's fine cooking, and we made it a point to stop by her cafe during the Masters. Her delicious items are numerous, and we especially love her red velvet cake - which practically melts in your mouth!

This book, like Vera, is the best of the best! As a friend and guest on her show, I know her fans and readers will love this cookbook. I have always found joy in sharing my recipes and I know Vera will feel the same. Y'all, I cannot wait to give the cake chapters some testing!

The first time I tasted a Very Vera caramel cake, I thought she had kidnapped my grandmother and forced her to bake. For years, I bought caramel cakes and red velvet cakes and meals for myself and as gifts. It broke my heart when Vera decided to close her mail order business because I could never duplicate her delicacies using recipes I found in other cookbooks. But now I have hope because of her cookbook. Now, if I can just get her to my kitchen to make sure I'm doing everything right.

My family and I have been fortunate enough to have Vera’s delicious cooking on several occasions—we always especially loved her meatloaf. I’m excited that her cookbook makes it possible to enjoy her food on any occasion. Tahnee and I look forward to trying our hand at some VeryVera classics and sharing them with friends in Athens.

From the moment we met Vera, we were swept away by her feisty, intrepid, and entrepreneurial spirit. Her success in business, television and in the kitchen is attributable to these qualities. And her delicious foray into cookbook publishing shows off her tremendous grace, too. She has a way with food and entertaining that is uniquely reassuring and inspiring. The VeryVera Cookbook beautifully portrays Vera's world and her story, along with enough recipes and Southern secrets to fuel a hundred weekends of good times in the kitchen!

I was lucky enough to have Vera Stewart’s Carrot Cake while I was in Augusta for the Masters. It is hands-down the best Carrot Cake I have ever tasted—the frosting alone is out of this world! Knowing that the secret recipe is in her new cookbook is reason enough to buy a copy.
