Fairy Garden Tea Fare

Ingredients

Strawberry Ladybugs

  • Fresh strawberries
  • Mini chocolate chips

Sprinkle Sandwiches

  • White bread
  • Mascarpone cheese
  • Colored sparkling sugar
  • Equipment: small cookie cutter

Grape Wands

  • Green grapes, washed
  • Honeydew melon
  • Equipment: bamboo skewers

Butterfly Sandwiches

  • Wheat bread
  • White bread
  • Peanut butter
  • Equipment: butterfly cookie cutters

Instructions

Strawberry Ladybugs

  1. Slice tops off strawberries and halve from top to bottom. Press 3-5 chocolate chips, pointed side down, into flesh of strawberry halves.

Sprinkle Sandwiches

  1. Spread one slice of white bread with mascarpone cheese. Sprinkle liberally with sparkling sugar. Use cookie cutter to cut out shape in another slice of bread. Place slice with design cut out on top of sprinkle-covered slice.

Grape Wands

  1. Slide grapes onto bamboo skewer, leaving about two inches at the bottom and an inch on the top. Use a paring knife or star-shaped cookie cutter to cut a star-shaped piece of honeydew melon. Place at top end of skewer.

Butterfly Sandwiches

  1. Using varying sizes of butterfly-shaped cookie cutters, cut white and wheat bread slices in pairs. Spread peanut butter on one butterfly-shaped piece of bread and top with another.
