My iPhone is my lifeline! It contains precious family photos, all of my contacts, calendar, etc., and, like a lot of you, I don’t go anywhere without it. So when it comes to phone etiquette, I try to practice the following (and hope you will too!):

  • You excuse yourself to the restroom, so have the same courtesy when receiving a phone call or text. Never talk or text at the table.
  • Turn your phone or ringer off while in public or when spending time with family or friends.
  • You never want to air your laundry in public, so be mindful when talking on speakerphone.
  • Be sure to alert others when speaking on Bluetooth in the car. Your young ones may become privy to some colorful language or adult topics—and we all know that little pitchers have big ears!
