Sausage Balls

  • 10 oz. sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 3 c biscuit mix
  • 1 lb mild sausage

Maple-Mustard Sauce:

  • 1/2 c Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 c pure maple syrup

Maple-Butter Sauce:

  • 1 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 c heavy cream
  • 1 stick butter (very cold, cut into cubes)


  1. Mix all ingredients together in a stand mixer using the dough hook attachment.
  2. Roll into small balls.
  3. Place on cookie sheet.
  4. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes.

Maple-Mustard Sauce:

  1. Stir together mustard and syrup until combined well.

Maple-Butter Sauce:

  1. In a saucepan, add maple syrup and cream and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Remove from the heat and begin whisking the butter into the maple syrup, cube by cube, whisking constantly until emulsified.
