  • Prep Time: 15m
  • Cook Time: 45m

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp. unsalted butter, room temp
  • 1/4 c light brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 c old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 4 large Cosmic Crisp apples
  • 2 tbsp. raisins
  • 3/4 c warm water

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. With a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, mix the butter, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg until combined. Stir in the oats and raisins. Set aside.
  3. Core the apples: Using a paring knife or apple corer, cut around the core, about halfway to ¾ way down into the apple. Use a spoon to carefully dig out the core. Once the core is out, use a spoon to dig out the seeds.
  4. Place cored apples in an 8 to 9-inch baking pan. Spoon filling into each apple, filling all the way to the top of the apple.
  5. Pour warm water into the pan around the apples.
  6. Bake for 45 minutes or until apples appear slightly soft.
  7. Remove apples from the oven and allow to cool 2-3 minutes before serving.
  8. Serve with salted caramel, whipped cream, or ice cream.
  9. Cover tightly and store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
