Ingredients
- 2 (21 oz) cans cherry pie filling
- 1/2 c rolled oats
- 1/2 c all-purpose flour
- 1/2 c light brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 5 tbsp. unsalted butter, melted
- 3 -4 5” heart shaped pans (Amazon)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Grease the 5” heart-shaped pans with butter.
- Open both cans of pie filling and evenly distribute into the prepared pans, spreading evenly across the bottom.
- In a large bowl, stir to combine the oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, salt and butter.
- Sprinkle the topping evenly over the pie filling.
- Place the pans in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Note: A 9x9” baking dish can be used, which will yield 1 serving.
- TIP: Be sure to use light brown sugar. The dark brown sugar contains more molasses and will make the dish too sweet.
