| Tailgating! Tailgating! Tailgating!
As we all prepare for college football, no tailgate party would
be complete without the following:
Lace Cookies– one of my Grandmother
Vera’s originals!
½ cup
sugar ½
cup brown sugar
1 cup quick cooking oatmeal ½
tsp. salt
1 Tbs. flour
1 egg, well-beaten ½ tsp. vanilla
Put foil on a cookie sheet. Put 1 teaspoon of cookie mixture
on foil. Press down a bit. Bake at 325 degrees until golden
brown. Cool, then peel cookies from foil. Store in a tin
(great use for a VeryVera tin) to keep crisp.
