Greetings with Love!!

As many of you have observed in February, our website has taken on a brand new look. Such sophistication and streamlined shopping makes me wander back through the pages of history when I witnessed my first fax page come to our office from another state! What a remarkable thing that a page could go from my typewriter, to a machine and then to a client's desk that far away in a matter of a few minutes. Certainly, we have all watched as technology has changed each of us and have made some of us keep our mouths shut for fear of being deemed ignorant in it all. For some, however, the constant challenges keep us young and for me, I just look forward to there "always being something NEW at VeryVera."

So, I say good-bye to the traditional monthly newsletter this month first launched in August 1996. In these fourteen years, you have laughed at my childhood memories, you have cried with me as sons graduated and went to college and smiled as they have gotten married. You have listened as I spoke of the influences of my mother on every aspect of my life and you have made me one of your favorites and for that, I am so grateful. We celebrated our 25th business year anniversary last year and we have moved very quickly into the next celebration of our company dynamics. Our new website is so enticing with the beautiful photography, zoom feature on our products and streamlined shopping experience that I feel like one of the Jetson's. I am so fortunate to be surrounded by my idols (young people in their 20's) and they are keeping me young every day but making me move faster than I've ever moved before. My trips to the gym are now mandatory according to my brain and my love of current music and dancing probably embarrass my sons on occasion. I recently attended a meeting where discussion of Paula Deen's accident involving a slip of a ham got national attention and my comment was "should I let someone hit me with a cake?" The reply was that the line would be long on the folks that might want to have that opportunity!!! Surely they were joking????

So... I send you off this month to catch my blogs and short daily inserts to the website beginning in April. My 2:30 a.m. I can't sleep so I might as well type exercises at the computer will probably show up in my blog. I am noted for my index cards that arrive at work in my pocket every day. I am constantly creating ideas as I shower, dry my hair or drive in each day and if I weren't, I would be worried. My passion and excitement for VeryVera and its growth continue even with another birthday under my belt last month. I look forward to new ventures and new ways to introduce VeryVera as a brand that should be part of every family's celebration. Thank you for being part of all of this and continuing on with the journey...
